I was happy with my 24 volt trimmer the only thing I did not like is the guard did not help much, grass and dirt was hitting me as I used the edger, the old cord trimmer I had had a lot more power but going cordless is a lot better I hope some day Worx will have a better replacement guard

Bought the 18V WG150-1 nearly 2 years ago 1 Oct 2010. The motor had been sluggish the past couple of times I used it. Yesterday 22 Sep 2012 it died. Battery held a charge pretty good for the past couple of years, did have to manually release additional line, just pushing the button releases the line. Giving the 24V MaxLithium™ WORX GT2.0 a try next. Just ordered it today.

I bought my Worx trimmer last year. I was worried because I saw a lot of negative comments concerning the battery and battery life. I have not had any problems. I love the unit. It is light weight and has the power to take down some very serious weeds. I bought an extra 24V battery and keep one on the charger and one on the trimmer. I get about 5 uses per charge. All of the various adjustments are awesome as well. My grandson loves to shorten up the shaft and weed wack for Grandpa. He is 8 yrs old and the unit is not too heavy for him. Great product, excellent design insight and I would highly recommend.

Gets the Job done

First I bought the 18V. I have a strip of grass that is 3ft wide by 75ft that is between the side walk and the street. I was really excited, thought I had the perfect tool. It was working Excellent, but the battery would only hold a charge from 15 minutes to maybe 24 minutes. I couldn't ever finish the job in one session. I called customer service, and they tried to sell me another battery. The battery was around $80.00. The upgrade for the 24V was only going to be 60.00 more. (18V trimmer was 99.00, and the 24V trimmer was 159.99.)We went around in circles until finally I said, please just let me return it, and let me try out the 24V? I was thrilled with the 24V. it seemed more powerful, and I could easily finish the job, and I had battery power left over. Yesterday, I really put it to the test, the trail to the beach had over grown so much you could barely pass. I first used shears to cut the hedge back, then cleaned up the rest with the 24V trimmer/edger. I would buy the 24V
