Frequently Asked Questions

Does this come with a battery and charger?

Yes, this model includes one 20V 2.0 Ah battery (WA3575) and one charger (WA3742).

How much does the 20V 10" Cordless Pole /Chain Saw weigh?

The Worx 20V 10" Cordless Pole /Chain Saw weighs 10 pounds.

I’ve seen the 10” Pole/Chain Saw described as battery-operated and electric. Which is correct?

We have two versions of the Pole/Chain Saw, so they are both correct. The WG323 model is a battery-operated tool and uses our 20V MaxLithium technology. Powershare lets you use any 20V Worx battery you may already have with this model. Our electric Pole/Chain Saw is model number WG309 and can be found here.

How powerful is the 20V 10" Cordless Pole /Chain Saw?

The 20V Worx MAX Lithium battery included with the 10” Cordless Pole/Chain Saw is the same battery we trust to power the JawSaw, and our Cordless Compact Circular saw, among others, like the Hydroshot and Switchdriver. Since the battery can stand up to those high-powered applications, you can trust it to keep up with you. Higher capacity 20V batteries and faster chargers are available as well.

What’s the runtime for the 20V 10" Cordless Pole /Chain Saw?

The runtime will vary depending on the type and density of wood you’re cutting and how thick the branches are for each cut and the capacity of the 20V battery you’re using. For example, on one charge of our 1.3Ah 20V battery, you can expect up to 23 cuts on 4” thick hardwood. Since most branches you’ll cut are less than that, you’ll typically get a higher yield. If you know you need extra power, try keeping an extra battery on hand. Worx also offers higher capacity 20V batteries as well as quick chargers. Accessories can be found here.

What is the chain speed?

The chain spins at 12.5ft/second (3.8 m/s).

How long does it take to charge the battery?

The enclosed charger and battery take about 5 hours to fully recharge.

Does the Cordless Pole/Chain Saw come pre-assembled?

The Chain Saw does come assembled, but not attached to the pole. Attaching the pole is quick, easy and requires no tools!

How hard is it to attach the pole to the chain saw? What kind of tools will I need?

The pole attaches to the chainsaw without tools. You’ll be able to connect it in less than 3 minutes. First, screw the pole together securely. To save you on shipping, and to make future storage more convenient, the pole unscrews into two tethered pieces. Once the pole is assembled, the saw slides onto the pole like a Worx battery slides on to a tool. Use the locking knob on the pole under the saw to secure the connection. To remove the saw, unscrew the locking knob and pull straight down. Pull the saw and pole apart.

I didn’t receive any oil in the package. What kind of oil do I use on the chain saw? How much oil will the chain saw need?

The 20V Cordless Pole/Chain Saw can take any kind of bar and chain oil, which is available in most hardware stores or stores that sell chainsaws. The oil tank capacity will hold 4.5 ounces.

How many chain drive links are on the 20V Cordless Pole/Chain saw chain? What is the chain pitch?

There are 40 links on the chain saw chain. The chain is a 3/8 inch pitch.

How do I buy a replacement bar or chain? Can I get them locally?

Both the bar and chain are available on worx.com.

Need something faster? Local hardware or home improvement stores may carry accessories that fit your Worx chainsaw. Look for the following items compatible with your WG323 Cordless Pole/Chain Saw.

ES: 3/8.043-40E, QIRUI: A0(T)-40E, Oregon: 90PX040G
ES: ES104SDEA041, QIRUI: PO10-43SR(T), Oregon: 104MLEA041

Can the chain saw be used without the pole?

Yes, the chainsaw can be used with or without the pole, depending on what the job at hand requires.

What is the length of the Cordless Pole/Chain Saw?

The full length of the Cordless Pole/Chain saw is 97.5”.

If the total length of the Cordless Pole/Chain Saw when attached to the extension pole is roughly 8’, how can it reach up to 10’?

Working directly overhead is never a safe option when trimming limbs from trees, so the calculation isn’t based on direct reach. Since the safest way to approach tree trimming would be standing away from the branch being cut and reaching up at an angle, the total reach factors in the average height of the person using the tool as at least 4’. When standing at the base of the tree and reaching with the 20V Cordless Pole/Chain Saw at an angle, the average user can cut branches at a height of 10 or more feet.

How long does it take to charge the 20 Volt Max battery?

It takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge the battery.

Does this use the same batteries as my other 20V WORX tools?

Yes! With Powershare, you can share the battery and save money. Your Worx 20V 10" Cordless Pole /Chain Saw can use any WORX 20V battery you already have. By sharing the battery between tools, you’ll always have the power you need to complete any job.

Are lithium batteries interchangeable with the Ni-Cad?

Our lithium tools and Ni-Cd tools are separate platforms and are not interchangeable. Lithium batteries offer our customers maintenance-free technology without the hassle of managing the memory effect inherent in Ni-Cad batteries.

Are the 20 Volt Max Lithium batteries interchangeable with the 32 Volt Max Lithium Battery?

While Powershare allows you to share batteries between tools within the same voltage family, batteries should only be used with tools of a corresponding voltage. Use your 20V Max Lithium battery with any 20V WORX tool – even the garden tools – but save your 32V battery for your 32V tools.

20V 10" Cordless Pole/Chain Saw with Auto-Tension is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts better than I expected I've only used this a couple of times so far, but it has exceeded my expectations on how it cut. I have a small electric chain saw and the Worx battery powered one outcuts it. So far as with all my Word power tools I love it!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product This is so much better than the other pole/chain saw I had. On my old saw I had to charge up three 20 V batteries to get 20 min of cutting time while your one battery gets way more time than the other three. I have cut as long as 45 min. continusly on two and three inch branch trimming. Love the self adjusting blade and oiling. Not near as messy. Great product !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery lasts longer than me! When I first got this I was telling my friends about it. They laughed and said that running off a 20V battery they would be able to stop it with their hands! I took them outside and told them to keep their hands in their pockets! I then showed them how it cut right through a 6 in log. They were impressed! That weekend we trimmed the 8 trees in our front yard with the saw on the pole. Then removed it to cut up the branches we had cut down so they would fit on the trailer to take to recycle. I didn't have to switch batteries until the last few branches! Now my neighbors want to use it to cut down their limbs. I would highly recommend this Pole Saw. I have a 110V pole saw that is a pain because the cord is always wrapped around something. You will have to tighten the chain after using it for a little while after the new chain stretches, but the simple auto tension makes it easy
