  • Can I store the mower outside?

Storing the mower outside is not ideal and is not recommended. Your Worx Lawn Mower folds into a compact shape to make storage in your garage or shed easy. For more information about folding down the mower for storage, review your owner’s manual.

  • How do I sharpen the blade?

Many local hardware stores or small engine repair shops can provide you with great resources for sharpening blades if you’re inexperienced or prefer not to do it yourself. If you’ve got experience but need some pointers, consult your owner’s manual for instructions.

NOTE: For your safety, we do not recommend sharpening your mower blades unless you have experience doing so. With any task of this nature, please follow all safety guidelines and recommendations.

Prefer to keep an extra blade on hand? Order an extra so you're never waiting or caught unprepared.

  • How hard is it to change blades on the WG771 Lawn Mower? Where can I get an additional blade if mine is damaged?

Changing blades on the 56V Cordless Lawn Mower is easy! You’ll need gloves (for your protection) and a spanner wrench to remove the blade. For detailed instructions and illustrations, review the owner’s manual.

NOTE: Any time you perform maintenance on your mower, or work under the mowing deck, be sure to remove the safety key and both batteries for your safety, and wear protective gloves. See your owner's manual for complete safety details.

  • What kind of blades does the Worx 56V Cordless 19" Lawn Mower use? Where can I get more?

The Worx WG771 19" Lawn Mower uses a 19” mulching blade found under Lawn Mower Accessories.

  • Are there any precautions I should follow when using the Worx Electric 20" Lawn Mower?

Carefully review the owner’s manual for all safety information and guidelines. Follow safety precautions while using any power tools – including wearing safety eyewear, gloves, appropriate shoes & clothing, and keeping hair tied back. See the owner’s manual for complete safety instructions and details.

ATTENTION: For safety, remove the batteries when changing the blades or cleaning the mower. When changing the blade, we recommend wearing gloves.

  • Can I mow wet grass?

While your lawn mower is powerful enough to handle wet grass, we don’t recommend mowing wet grass. Wet grass can inhibit cutting performance, form clumps that interfere with the mulching action and/or reduce runtime. For best performance, wait until the grass dries before cutting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Smaller Jobs and Lawns Purchased this mower in July and had to wait a couple of weeks for it, but it was worth it. A great feature is the ability to set the front wheels into an either locked or swivel setting. I agree with others that for mowing in straight lines, locking the wheels is best. For mowing around curved edging or around trees though, the swiveling front wheels make the job so much easier. Will be trying the deck wash out feature this week, and this is something I have not seen on other similarly priced cordless electric mowers. Having had it on a lawn tractor deck, the wash out port is a welcome feature. For bagging clippings, the bag is a bit on the smaller side, but its ease of attaching and size make it pretty easy for a retiree like me to handle. The battery system works just fine for me, and I found that my needs have allowed two weeks of use on a single charge. While two batteries need to be charged, having only one charger is a bit awkward but certainly not impossible. For larger lawns, a second charger and/or second set of batteries may be in order (though it can be a bit pricey). While the batteries are exhausted a bit quicker in the Turbo setting, the higher speed does help get a better cut with long-bladed grass typical of the Pacific Northwest. My older electric cordless mower simply was plugged into its charger, where the WORX unit has to have its batteries removed and separately placed into the charger stand. I'm glad it is not a single, heavier battery, as such removal would be awkward indeed. I really like the ability to stow the mower in an upright position, as it does save a lot of space and will be quite helpful for winter storage. The handle locks and position adjustments also are nice. Starting and operating the mower is pretty easy once you get the hang of it; and, the battery level indicators are helpful. Overall, the mower feels "light" in front, more so than conventional, fixed wheel models. This makes it highly maneuverable, and that equals less effort after you get used to it. The light front end does tend to bounce around a bit. If I were to look for a potential weak spot down the road, it might be in the front casters and their attachment to the mower - time will tell with all the pushing, turning, and bouncing around. Finally, on the instructions for operation and set-up. The pictures and steps are intuitive and accurate, though it may be a bit daunting for someone wanting to read things. If you have purchased and assembled anything from IKEA, then you know the drill. Assembly and start-up were easy and took only a couple of minutes. Just playing around with the mower/features helped with any issues. This appears to be yet another innovative WORX success story. I have had a number of other WORX products, so I felt pretty confident in this one, too. So far, nothing disappointing other than seeing that I bought a model that has been discontinued right after I got it?! Hopefully, spare parts, service assistance on this model will continue.
