Rated 5 out of 5 by from A refreshing upgrade I received as a replacement for an older model which was power assist propelled. It had to be due to the weight of the battery. This mower does not need power assist. The lithium batteries are very light and hold more of a charge for a greater length of mowing time. I actually mow faster. We have a home situated on a 10,000 sq ft lot and I can mow twice without recharging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Step forward I bought this lawn mower from Worx. It's the 56 volt cordless lawn mower with swiveling front wheels. I had bought the original Worx Power Tank six years ago. This has been a superb lawn mower, mowing down yards full of three foot tall grass like they're nothing. What's amazing, this lawn mower shows no signs of age. My Worx Power Tank works a good as the day I bought it. I was just getting worried, I would start to experience the end of the lead acid battery life after seven years. Though the two batteries; still charge up, hold a charge, and deliver dependable power. I bought my 56 volt lawnmower from Worx, just to have a good back up mower. Worx has taken a great lwan mower, and improved it many ways. The key way switch is eaisier to use it seems. I understand the safety merit dehind such a device. Given the high incesidence of serious injuries; of those trying to use lawn mowers, after becoming impaired. The plastic key way switch ensures the lawn mower will be operated by sober individuals. The engineers at Worx have designed something like a motor plugging circuit. So if the lawn mower is started in thick grass, a surge of power is delivered upon start up. Also if the operator is mowing along, and the lawn mower goes through some thicker, taller grass. The plugging circuit delivers a rush of turbo power. This way the lawn mower easily cuts the thicker grass. Without bogging the motor down, possibly causing damage to the motor. This makes mowing more difficult lawns a breeze. The swivel wheels in the front make mowing around trees, and delicate ornamentals much easier. Men this will keep you out of trouble with the lady of the house. Because now it very easy to miss all the rose bushes, and other plants ladies are always telling us to watch out for. All the wheels are very easy to adjust to the desired mowing height. And starting with a taller, easier mowing height to achieve. Then gradually working to a shorter grass height with less effort. Worx made a great hit with their new wheel barrow. What makes the wheel barrow by Worx so great are the new hard rubber wheels. Now Worx has taken this innovation to the next level, and incorporated them on their lawn mowers. Another feature making mowing the grass more effortless. This new lawn mower by Worx is much lighter now, and the grass catching bag is larger, able to hold more. The directions for all Worx tolls now are totally pictorial. This is good; I find myself thinking of the lawn mower directions in the middle of the day. And suddenly I'm meditating, thinking in my mind how I will safely operate my new lawn mower by Worx. This is because the pictures come back in my mind over, and over. Amazingly this is something worded directions just can't do. So I understand Worx point of view; providing easy to understand pictorial instructions, getting customers to read, understand, and carefully follow all instructions. This is a great product, and I highly recommend the new Worx 56 volt lawnmower with swiveling front wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mower I Am Impressed I very rarely feel moved to write a product review unless I am either overly or underly impressed. I ended up ordering this mower after researching several models for weeks. To start off with, I have been using battery operated string trimmers for a number of years now and and I have seen how advanced the battery technology has come recently. I hated the messy gasoline mixing and praying they would start every weekend. I easily got hooked on the conversion. Honestly, I had my doubts about mowing my quarter acre lawn with a mower battery powered. I was happily surprised that this appears to be the ticket. There is enough power to cut it all on 1 1/2 charged battery. I only insert 1 battery at a time since I can't tell any difference in power using both. That way one can be charging while I am using the other and it works out great for me. I've been using this for about 6 weeks now and I find the cut is awesome without using the bag and just mulching it. My wife loves the swivel front wheels. The mower is easy enough to push on fairly level land for it's weight. The easily adjustable handle height is a great feature too (I'm 6'1" and my wife is 5'4"). I find I seldom find the need to use the turbo mode for thick/tall grass as I cut grass at least once per week. I learned that you need to use the garden hose cleaning right after every use to avoid the grass from clogging up the underside of the mower deck. BE SURE NOT to get the battery compartment wet. Cleaning the mower is easy to do and it only takes a few minutes so it's not a big thing. Each battery takes about 90 minutes to fully charge. The side benefits are it always starts so easy. It's a whole lot quieter than my old 7hp self-propelled. No messing around with gas and oil and cleaning spark plugs. Perhaps after a few seasons it will pay for itself through the savings. Having a three year warranty is sweet too. I was so impressed overall with this mower that I went out and bought the matching string trimmer that uses the same battery. It's a little heavy but works better than any trimmer I have had before. The high capacity 56v battery is the way to go in my opinion. The only downside I have been able to find so far and is that by using both batteries at once drains them both down at the same time therefore you'll have to spend 1 1/2 hours per battery charging them. I could not notice any benefit over loading only one battery at a time. Easy to fix, just insert one in while charging the other then its ready when you need it. I wished I'd have found this last season before I spent almost $100 fixing up my gas clunker. Bottom line is If you have an average yard I think you'll be pretty happy with this mower too.
