Help The Kids “Frame Up” Mother’s Day Perfectly!
It’s the frame she will never throw away..
Mom’s are the hardest working people we know, so why not give her a gift made with love from the kids this Mother’s Day? Our friend, Michael “Roo” Haun has a perfect DIY gift she will treasure for a very long time, and it’s easy too! We’re making a special frame for mom with a picture of a hand drawn rooster in the middle!
If you’re thinking oh no, we don’t have that artistic talent to draw a rooster, it’s ok! Below you will see to sketched out pictures that you can print out and the kids can trace over!
For the frame:
Wood to make a simple square or rectangle frame out of.
Might will be 8×10 inches your call on the size.
This could be:
Old barn wood
Even twig built
Some screws and nails.
(Finish nails or small #4 or 6 nails.)
For the picture:
Some art paper
Paint and brushes. ( Michael uses watercolor, but crayons or markers work too)
Some wire, or netting or even a onion orange bag..
Something that looks like woven wire over the frame.
A handful or straw or pine straw..
Saw (Michael used the Versacut 3-3/8″ Compact Circular Saw w/ Laser Guide Technology)
Drill ( Michael used the 20V Power Share Switchdriver 2-in-1 Cordless Drill & Driver)
Glue gun or some nails or Gorilla Glue!
Let’s have some fun and DIWW!
