Unlike other automatic mowers that are blind, the Landroid M is equipped with artificial intelligence that allows it to make decisions. It is able to navigate and mow narrow passages where other robots would only pass through (provided the wire guide has been laid down). A few owners of Landroid reported unexpected shutdown during the charge cycle. After investigation, we found out the reason is due to critical layout of the wire. Although the issue can be fixed by re-working the wire, we spared you this hassle and fixed it via software.
- Unexpected shutdown while in charging station, either for recharging or in waiting for the next scheduled mowing time.
- Fixed some minor bugs.
Improvements
Release 3.1 includes all improvements of Hypericum 3.0. If you have not yet upgraded to it, we suggest that you do now. You will get:
- Over 20 enhancements, like reverse maneuvers, conveniently program and name areas, and approaching the wire for edge-to-edge cutting.

Hypericum 3.1 allows Landroid to learn and remember up to four different areas to customize your lawn care to your specific needs. By programming different areas for your Landroid, you can have a lawn as unique as you are, and all without any extra effort or additional maintenance.

Check the software version of your Landroid
Press the ON/OFF key. Hold for a few seconds until the LCD lights up.
Once ON, the display will briefly show the software release number.
If your version isn’t updated, follow the instructions below
Save the file to an empty USB (flash drive). Please note: the software update is downloaded as a zipped file. You will need to unzip or extract it before proceeding. After updating your Landroid software, your Landroid will be returned to its factory settings. A clean slate is the best way to explore all the new options available to customize your Landroid and tailor your lawn care for your garden.
Turn the robot upside down.
Remove the 4 screws that attach the battery cover to the Landroid.
Remove the battery from its housing.
Insert the USB drive into the slot.
Reinstall the battery into the Landroid.
Turn the robot over and Press the ON/OFF key. Hold for a few seconds until the LCD lights up.
Check if release is updated: once ON, the display will briefly show the software release number. Please note if software has been updated successfully, you will see “V0.94” displayed in the bottom right corner of the display area. It will then ask for a “PIN” code. At which point, you need to enter “0000”.
Remove the battery and the USB drive, then re-assemble the battery and housing.
After updating, if you receive an "Upside Down" error on the Landroid when it is NOT upside down, follow these steps: Make sure the Landroid is on a flat, horizontal surface and then press the 2 button. When the diagnostic screen shows up, hold down the 5 button until the left side sensors reset and display "Z:- 0.0"

Takes about 5 minutes, and I do that every 2 weeks. The grass at the edge is the only way I can tell if my grass is actually growing.So thats my story. One season's worth of lawn care fees paid for the Landroid.. So for next season, I am already in the money.. So its free.
