No, you do not have to use the misting feature. The fan will work without the misting feature turned on.

No, it does not oscillate but you can manually adjust the pivoting fan head by 60°.
Can you put ice in the bucket with water?
Yes! Adding ice to the water in the bucket will provide even cooler air.
Can you use any type of water?
