Hammer drills have a built-in mechanism that adds extra movement to the drill bit. This movement is referred to as blows, or impacts. When engaged, the Hammer mechanism helps break up masonry and concrete, so the drill is more efficient.
Hammer drills can be used like a standard drill by selecting the standard drilling mode, or set the clutch ring to the desired torque for whatever fasters are being used.
A brushless motor is controlled electronically, rather than with brushes. They are more efficient in transferring power, thereby maximizing battery energy and runtime. Brushless motors are smaller and lighter than standard motors, so tools can be more compact and lighter.
Choose a carbide-tipped bit specifically designed for drilling in masonry and concrete. Make sure the bit shank is round or hex shaped, suitable for a 3-jawed chuck.
GripZone refers to a comfortable micro-texture grip that is added to the tool’s handle for optimum comfort and reduced user fatigue.
