Yes, this model includes 2 batteries and one charger.
In addition to the WX178L and WX523L tools, this kit includes two 20V Max Lithium batteries, a charger, dust extraction adaptor, parallel guide, allen key, double-ended bit and a sawblade as well as a tool bag to hold all of it.
The tool bag measures 13" long x 6" wide x 7.5" deep.
The Ai Drill lets you work smarter, not harder, which means not carrying around extra weight. At less than 3 pounds without the battery installed, the Ai Drill lets you put your muscle where it counts, not in your drill.
At only 3.2 lbs without the battery installed, the Worxsaw is surprisingly lightweight, but make no mistake, it delivers easy-to-maneuver circular saw power with single-hand control.
The WORX Ai Drill takes your drill to the next level, making it easier for beginners to use and giving professionals an edge. Three features make the Ai Drill more than just your average drill. BitLock is an automated bit tightening that gives you the perfect chuck tension every time, with 30% more holding force than hand-tightening the chuck. SafeDrive stops driven screws flush with the work surface, preventing damage to the work and the screw. No more accidental stripping or over-sinking a screw. Pulse Assist adds bursts of force to help prevent slipping, which means that drilling into hard surfaces and driving or removing soft or worn screws is easier than ever before.
The Ai Drill is designed to make using a drill simple. The BitLock chuck opens and closes with a twist of the switch to make installing and removing bits much easier without the hassle of trying to tighten the chuck. Also, the bits are held 30% tighter than average with manual tightening to eliminate the tendency for the chuck to loosen and bits to fall out.
SafeDrive monitors the screw driving function. When the head of the screw is driven close to the work surface, the driver automatically stops and shifts into Pulse Assist mode for perfect screwdriving results every time without setting a clutch.
Pulse Assist mode is helpful when trying to start drilling slick surfaces, such as tile or metal, starting screws, and dealing with rusted or difficult to remove screws and nuts. The intermittent surging and slowing of Pulse Assist improves control over the speed of rotation and prevents the bit from spinning freely and causing damage, which prevents rounding and stripping of screws and removes already damaged screws easily and without further damage.
The Ai Drill can tackle any job a standard 20V drill can, only better. Pulse Assist not only prevents stripping screws, it can help remove damaged screws, and provide better control when starting screws or holes in hard, slick surfaces like tile or metal.
The BitLock chuck tightens 30% more on average than manual tightening to help prevent bits from slipping, and since BitLock can be operated with one hand, the other hand is free to hold the workpiece.
SafeDrive eliminates the need to set a clutch, which eliminates the time-consuming trial and error setting for a mechanical clutch. SafeDrive also works great for installing drywall without needing a screw gun or other attachment.
In wood, the maximum recommended hole size is 1". Avoid drilling holes larger than 3/8" in metal.
Torque is a measurement of turning power. The WORX Ai Drill has about 180 inch-pounds of torque letting it easily master most common drilling and driving applications around the house.
Ai Drill makes the best use of the familiar and innovation to make it easier and faster to use. Internally, the Ai Drill chuck is a typical, 3/8" 3-jaw chuck that can hold round or hex shank bits just like a standard drill driver. Externally, however, the design is different. The blue BitLock ring opens and closes the jaws of the chuck without the hassle of manually tightening. Turn the ring in direction of the symbols for lock and unlock to easily remove or securely install a bit.
The Ai Drill uses both hex shank and round shank drilling and driving bits up to 3/8". Worx offers a 67-Piece Drill Bit set and a 16-Piece Drill Bit & Drive set. You can also find other bits available at home centers, hardware stores and anywhere that sells drill bits.
The WORX Ai Drill has a clutch, but instead of a typical trial-and-error clutch, SafeDrive mode is an internal, automatic clutch. Simply begin by holding the trigger down constantly. The driver will detect when the screw is driven to the work surface and stop briefly. Release the trigger if you are happy with the screw depth. If not, hold the trigger and the driver will shift into Pulse Assist. The driver will continue to drive the screw deeper in small increments until the trigger is released. On the top of the drill body is a keypad showing a screw, drill and Pulse icons. Press the icon for the mode you wish to use. A blue light will indicate the active mode.
The Ai Drill's switch, or trigger, controls the speed of rotation. With the variable speed trigger, the rotation speed increases as the trigger is depressed more.
The WorxSaw gives you the power and performance you’d expect in a traditional circular saw, packs it into a compact size that’s easy to maneuver with one hand, then frees you from cords by powering it with a 20V MaxLithium battery. Designed with you in mind, the WorxSaw features the lightweight, ergonomic design is something you expect from Worx without compromising power! How? The saw's 3-3/8" blade has a kerf that is less than half the thickness of larger 7-1/4" circular saw blades. Since this smaller, thinner blade takes much less effort and motor strain to cut through the material, the 4 Amp - 3500 rpm saw can match the performance of full-size circular saws.
WorxSaw also features left-sided blade design provides remarkable cut-line visibility as well as a vacuum port for dust extraction while working to give you the best possible work experience for precision and safety.
Get everything you want from a traditional circular saw - with more flexibility and freedom. WorxSaw - power, performance, and comfort that’s easy to control with one hand.
Bevel cutting isn’t a feature available on the WorxSaw, but it is a great saw for plunge cutting! It can tackle stock up to 1” thick.
To plunge cut, adjust the depth gauge along the top of the fixed upper guard to the appropriate setting. Place the base plate against the material and adjust the blade along the cutting line, but do not plunge the blade yet. Turn on the saw and, with the saw running, plunge the blade through the materials. Once you reach the full depth of the cut, move the saw along the cutting line. When you reach the end of the line, disengage the plunge feature before stopping the saw.
This convenient feature helps improve safety when lining up the blade along cutting lines, and helps make some plunge cuts easier. To use it, set the depth gauge along the top of the fixed upper guard to the appropriate setting. Release the lock-off button carefully, and use a finger to lift the lower guard lever to expose the blade. Line up the blade along the cutting line and carefully release the lower guard lever before engaging the saw and beginning your cut.
The WorxSaw can cut materials up to 1-1/16” thick making it perfect for ripping or plunge cutting 1” stock.
The parallel guide installs on your WorxSaw in seconds and secures in place for confident parallel cuts. First, remove the battery from your WorxSaw to avoid accidental starts.
Loosen the hex screw at the front of the base plate. Take the long, thin side of the parallel guide and make sure the measured marks are facing up. Insert it into the base plate in front of the blade through the holes in the base. Line up the desired measurement in the notch at the front of the base plate and tighten the screw to secure it in place. Line up the parallel guide’s edge flush against the cutting surface, reinstall the battery and you’re ready to cut!
To remove the parallel guide, loosen the screw at the front of the base plate and slide the guide out.
Changing the blades is quick and easy. Remove the battery from the WorxSaw to avoid accidental starts.
Press the red spindle lock button behind the blade housing and insert the allen key into the hex bolt holding the blade in place. Unscrew and remove the blade bolt, and the outer flange. Remove the old blade and insert the new one. Once firmly seated, install the flange and blade bolt, finger tightening into place. Use the allen key to secure the bolt, re-install the battery, and you’re ready to go.
The WorxSaw has an onboard vacuum port and comes with a vacuum adaptor so you can attach your favorite shop vac. It’s as easy as installing the adaptor in the port, attach the shop vac and turn it on. (See your owner’s manual for specific instructions.)
Yes! With Power Share, you can share the battery and save money. Your Ai Drill and 20V WorxSaw Compact Circular Saw can use any Worx 20V battery you already have. By sharing the battery between tools, you’ll always have the power you need to complete any job.
Need more power on hand? Check out our higher capacity 20V batteries.
Run time depends on the tool, the type of work, the conditions under which work is being performed, and may even vary from user to user. The batteries can be charged and discharged for about 2,000 cycles.
The 20V Worx MAX Lithium battery included with the WorxSaw Compact Circular Saw is the same battery we trust to power the JawSaw, and our ExacTrack Circular Saw, among others, like the Hydroshot and Switchdriver. Since the battery can stand up to those high-powered applications, you can trust it to keep up with you in the WorxSaw.
Our lithium tools and Ni-Cd tools are separate platforms and are not interchangeable. Lithium batteries offer our customers maintenance-free technology without the hassle of managing the memory effect inherent in Ni-Cad batteries.
While Power Share allows you to share batteries between tools within the same voltage family, batteries should only be used with tools of a corresponding voltage. Use your 20V MAX Lithium battery with any 20V WORX tool – even the garden tools – but save your 32V battery for your 32V tools.
The included battery will take you far, but if you need more, Worx offers higher capacity batteries, as well as faster chargers.
Worx tools are designed with safety features to protect you against accidental starts, and the WorxSaw is no different. In front of the on/off switch is a lock-off button which must be engaged before the on/off switch will work. To engage it, pull the red button back towards the on/off switch and hold it in place while you squeeze the on/off. Once the saw starts, you can release the lock-off button and the saw will continue to run.
The flashing LED light indicates the battery charge is getting low or the battery power is interrupted. There is a built-in overload protection that will stop the tool if the battery is suddenly put under too much strain. This feature protects the battery so it will perform a long time. On rare occasion, the Ai Drill will stop itself momentarily if the job application drains power too quickly. Simply release the trigger to reset the driver.
On rare occasions, the BitLock may get stuck between gears. Simply put the drill in either forward or reverse and pull the trigger briefly. This should allow the BitLock switch to work appropriately again.
Carefully review the owner’s manual for all safety information and guidelines. Follow safety precautions while using any power tools – including wearing safety eyewear, gloves, appropriate shoes & clothing, and keeping hair tied back. See the owner’s manual for complete safety instructions and details.
ATTENTION: For safety, remove the battery when changing the blades or changing the tool between modes. When changing the blade, we recommend wearing gloves to avoid a pinch hazard. When cutting into a wall, shut off water and electricity before working to avoid injury and/or damage. Know where wiring and pipes are before cutting into the wall to avoid unintentional damage.
