The WORX TRIVAC 3-in-1 Leaf Blower/Mulcher/Yard Vacuum features a variable speed throttle control that adjusts the machine’s air flow from 75 to 210 mph. Fit the wider end of the tube over the front of the motor housing, lining up the pegs on the motor housing to the channels on the nozzle (See Figure B in the manual). Roll the nozzle channel over the peg and snap the top of the nozzle into the handle. That’s it!

  • Once I put the Worx TRIVAC together, can I disassemble it?

Yes, you can disassemble the TRIVAC Multi-Stage All Metal Mulching System after you’ve put it together. Press the black button at the front of the top handle and pull the handle forward, away from the nozzle. Separating the motor and nozzle makes the tool more compact for transport or easy storage in tight spaces.

If you need to further disassemble the nozzle, find the grooved indentation on each side of the nozzle. Press down hard on these while pushing the seam against a hard surface. It is difficult to separate, but can be done if necessary.

  • Is this also a vacuum like some of the other electric blowers Worx offers?

Yes, the WG509 is a complete 3-in-1 electric leaf blower/vacuum/mulcher.

  • What is the capacity of the collection bag?

The bag included with the TRIVAC will hold up to 1.2 bushels of mulched leaves. With a mulching ratio of 18:1, that’s a whole lot of leaves.

  • How do I attach the collection bag?

On the black shaft under the TRIVAC, there are two pegs. Line up these pegs with the channels in the orange collar of the collection bag. Push the bag collar towards the TRIVAC and turn right (towards the “lock” symbol). The bag will click into place letting you know it’s secure.

To remove the bag from the TRIVAC, press the orange collar of the collection bag towards the TRIVAC and turn left (towards the “unlock” symbol).

  • Is the TRIVAC Multi-Stage All Metal Mulching System variable speed? How do I change the speed?

Yes, the WG509 TRIVAC Multi-Stage All Metal Mulching System does have variable speed control. The control is located towards the back of the TRIVAC’s handle on the left side of the unit. Dial up the speed to find the right amount of power for the job at hand and customize your TRIVAC’s performance to match the needs of your yard.

  • How hard is it to switch between blowing and vacuuming? What kind of tools or accessories will I need?

It’s as easy as flipping a switch! You can even make the switch while working with the TRIVAC. Blow the leaves into a pile, then flip the orange switch on the shaft just above the collection bag, and vacuum them up.

  • I misplaced my manual. Is there anywhere I can get more information?

You can download the manual here. Our friendly customer service team will be glad to answer any questions you may have at 1-866-354-9679 (WORX).

  • Are there any precautions I should follow when using the blower with damp leaves? Will I get shocked?

The Worx TRIVAC Electric Leaf Blower is double-insulated to prevent shock, but we recommend that our customers follow standard safety precautions while using our tools, including wearing safety eyewear, gloves, appropriate shoes and clothing, and keeping hair tied back. Review the owner’s manual for complete information.

The Worx TRIVAC will handle damp leaves, but note that wet leaves may cause clogging. For optimum performance, be sure to allow for proper airflow when vacuuming. When switching from blowing to mulching, be sure the impeller has stopped before opening the protective screen to attach the collection bag.

ATTENTION: Keep all loose clothing, hair and debris away from the air intake area to avoid accident, injury or damage to the tool. Hold the blower at your side and keep the bottom of the motor housing clear at all times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This machine is genius! I got this for my husband as a Christmas gift and he's CRAZY about it! It is so difficult & a constant battle to keep the leaves off the deck and out of the pool. He blows them into a corner, sucks them up and voila...they are reduced to about the size of a Kleenex box! Where has this been the last 20 years???

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I bought this Trivandrum W/multi-stage mulching system mainly because of the angled intake. But to my surprise, mainly because I was wooed and won by the afore mentioned feature, it up is also a blower accessible by only a flick of a switch. I love this system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Trivac is a great product! I bought this, a couple of weeks ago. I wish had it last month, when I was collecting leaves for the High Plains Food Bank, to use as mulch and compost for their gardens, in growing food for the "Kids Cafe, and the other programs they are involved with. I have collected close to 500 pounds, part of which I still need to crush up, and take to them. I have already delivered 159 pounds to them, and the rest are in storage. The Trivac will cut my time in half, and save me a lot of effort in the process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exstremely Powerful I bought this a few weeks ago and have been using on the leaves I pull out of my pool , wet, soggy and a mess - this thing doesn't care. It sucks up everything and turns it into mulch. It's a little heavier than I thought it would be, but it pretty much has to be to do the job it is intended to do. It works great as a blower too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mulching & sucking power Recieved as gift because of the amount of leaves we have. It works great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I looks like it has Great Features!!! I bought this a month ago for myself for Christmas. Christmas is not here yet so I haven't opened it. But I will soon and I plan on using it really quick cause there's leaves to mulch up and I will also blow snow with it. If it has as much power as they say blowing off the back deck and driveways and side walks will be a breeze. Only thing I'm probably not gonna like about it is....dragging an extension cord around..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for fall cleanup We have a small pond in our yard that is surrounded by rocks. It's always difficult to get out the leaves from among the rocks. This vacuum does the trick! It's also helpful to have the leaves then mulched and contained in the bag for complete removal of them. It would be nice if the overall length of the product was longer. My husband is 6'3" and has to stoop to use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Leaf Vac Bought the WorkX Tri Vac to replace a Toro that just din't have the power to vacuum up a pile of leaves. The WorkX Tri Vac if light, has excellent vaccum power and really reduces the volume of collected leaves so that the bag does not need to emptied as often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Excellent-So Easy-Even for a 66 yr old Woman I bought this a few weeks ago and boy does it do what they say it does!! Very lightweight--easy to handle--chops up leaves to make a "Usable" mulch...I moved from Florida to leaves in my Florida home but in Alabama I have leaves everywhere!! I'm a 66 yr old Woman and the Trivac WG509 is the Best tool I have purchased Ever!! I did purchase the Garbage can cover and that is so convenient to store my also. Just a flip of a switch from a Leaf blower to a vacuum & then mulcher. You will never regret buying this tool. And you will want to tell everyone you know about it! I did and now my Brother bought one too!

I'm just not sure which of the three items you offer is needed for my WG509. Please advise! It would be helpful to have an additional handle for ease of use on the vacuum/blower/mulcher!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use So far so good. It is fast and easy. The only thing is that I wish it was cordless. I need a big extension cord and it unplugs when using. I need to get used to it but overall a great product.
