Recall Summary
Names of Products: WORX® Brand 8 Amp 14” Electric Chainsaw, Model WG305; WORX® Brand 8 Amp Pole Saw, Model WG309; Hyper Tough Brand 9 Amp Electric Corded 14” Chainsaws, and Portland 9 Amp 14” Chainsaws
Hazard: The main switch on the recalled chainsaws and pole saws can fail, allowing the saws to continue to run even after the switch is released, posing a laceration hazard.
Remedy: Replace
Contact Positec for a pre-paid shipping label, and a new box as needed, to return the recalled units free of charge. Positec will provide a free replacement chainsaw or pole saw upon receipt of the recalled product.

- The Worx 8 Amp 14" Electric Chainsaw, an orange and black saw marked WORX on the saw body and on the bar.
- The Worx 8 Amp Electric Pole Saw, an orange and black saw marked WORX on the saw body and on the bar and is shipped with an 8-foot pole extension.
- The Hyper Tough 9 Amp Electric Corded 14” Chainsaw, a black saw with red trim, marked Hyper Tough on the saw body and on the bar.
- The Portland 9 Amp 14” Chainsaw, a green saw with a black bar, marked Portland on the bar.
Incidents/Injuries: Positec has not received any reports of incidents or injuries from customers at this time.

What is the problem with my Chainsaw?
On affected products the chainsaw may continue to run after the main trigger switch is released. If this happens, the running saw could contact the operator or others nearby and possibly injure them.
My chainsaw appears to be operating okay. Can I continue to use it?
No. Even though your product appears to be safe, we are asking all customers to immediately stop using the product and participate in the recall by returning the chainsaw to us for a free replacement.
I no longer have the receipt for the product. Can I still return it?
Yes. You can still return the product without a receipt.
How long will it take for me to receive the replacement?
Please allow 3-4 weeks from the date you contacted us. We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you that we are working as quickly as possible to replace your product.
Can I repair the product myself?
No. We urge you not to attempt to repair the product yourself. Please return it to us immediately for a free replacement.
