The 40V Power Share™ tools are designed to work with a pair of batteries and will not operate with just one battery installed. For optimum performance, when pairing up your batteries, we recommend that both batteries are the same Amp hour rating and are fully charged.

 NOTE: We recommend using the same two batteries to run your Hedge Trimmer and charging both batteries at the same time on the dual charger for peak performance. More details can be found in the charger’s manual.

Using batteries with two different capacities, or even different charge levels, won’t improve the performance of your 40V Power Share™ Cordless 24” Hedge Trimmer. The tool’s performance will only meet the lowest common denominator, so if one battery is only half charged, it will only work until that one battery is exhausted. No one needs to be short-changed like that! Using the same two batteries and charging them together will ensure the high performance you’ve come to expect from your WORX tools.

Before starting the hedge trimmer, or after use, press the button beside the power indicator light on the machine to check the battery capacity. During operation, the battery indicator will constantly sense and automatically display on the battery power indicator and with two battery packs, the power indicator light will display the condition of the battery with the lowest power level.

FIVE GREEN LIGHTS ILLUMINATED – The two batteries are highly charged

TWO, THREE, OR FOUR GREEN LIGHTS ILLUMINATED – The two batteries have a remaining charge. The more lights illuminated, the more battery capacity is available

ONLY ONE GREEN LIGHT ILLUMINATED – The charge level of at least one battery is very low. Please check and charge the battery.

NO LIGHTS ILLUMINATED – At least one battery is not fully installed or battery may be defective.

ONE LIGHT IS FLASHING TWICE PER CYCLE – At least one battery is over-discharged. Please recharge to two batteries at once before use or storage.

The 40V Power Share™ Hedge Trimmer has a cutting capacity of 3/4 in. thick branches and a blade length of 24 in.

Yes! WORX takes your comfort into mind when designing our ergonomic products. To give you the most control and the best cutting experience possible, your 40V Power Share™ Cordless Hedge Trimmer handle has 5 different positions: 0°, 45°, 90°, 135°, and 180°. To change the position of your blade, unlock the locking switch, twist the handle into position until it clicks. That’s it. It’s that easy.
