Perfect!
I bought this for chopping hay not leaves. I have a senior horse that cannot chew long stemmed hay. The mulcher works great to chop they hay into 1 and 2 inch pieces that he is able to eat. Does a great job chopping an entire bin of hay in only a few minutes.

Best tool I’ve used for shredding leaves
A friend of mine brought hers to the garden where we volunteer. We used it to shred a massive pile of dry leaves, which we then spread over our garden beds as winter mulch. In the spring, we’ll turn whatever is left into the soil before planting. What a great way to enrich our soil! I liked using it so much that I purchased one to give to my husband for Christmas. I also have three other friends from the garden who asked me to send them the link so they could buy one.

Makes leaf clean up a breeze
Took the huge pile of leaves from our heavily wooded backyard and reduced it to less than a fourth of original size. Easy to use. No trips to the dump this year for leaf debris!

does this leaf mulcher also mulch sticks and pinecones

Here in the Pacific Northwest we're starting the rainy season when the leaves come down. How well does the leaf shredder work on wet leaves?
Not well. Wet leaves gum up the cyclone action within the cone and leave a tar-like substance that builds up on the bottom of the shredder and is difficult to remove. Also, avoid mixing dried blades of ornamental grasses with your leaves. They have a hemp-like consistency and will wrap around the shredder's cutting wheel. Other than that, if using dried leaves - and leaves only - this shredder works like a charm. We've been using it for 5 seasons, now.

Will it handle small sticks and nuts such as pecans?
How can I get parts not listed here? The core bolt (plastic) that holds the line in sheared. I need a replacement, otherwise I'll have to buy a whole new unit (and it won't be this one).
Thank you for your question. Please contact our Solution Center Team at 855-279-0505 Monday through Friday from 9 am until 6 pm EST and on Saturday from 8 am until 4 pm EST. We'd be more than happy to assist you.

I am using .095 line. The line continually snaps on the first load. Any idea what the issue may be.
Thank you for your question. The line may be too thick as the WORX Leaf Mulcher uses replacement line with a diameter of 0.09".

do they make a replacement cutters that are stronger so that it can cut threw small twigs
We have shells of a variety of nuts that the squirrels leave .... it's very difficult not to pick them up. Can the leaf mulcher handle them?
Thank you for your question. The WORX Leaf Mulcher is not recommend for use with shells or any yard debris that could become a projectile to reduce the risk of damage and/or injury.
