Worx has been offering 20V garden and power tools for a long time, and we’ve gotten a lot of feedback from customers like you. We’ve taken all of it seriously. We know what it takes to invest in a line of power tools only to discover you need more power.
Love your battery platform, don’t leave it.
Switching battery platforms is a hassle – and sometimes, an expensive one. But now, you don’t have to switch. The new 2 x 20V platform is the solution you’ve been looking for. We’ve expanded our 20V Power Share battery platform to include products that use 2 of the 20V batteries you already have to level up your power to 40V performance without switching to a new voltage family. Double up your batteries for more power and runtime and still share your batteries with the rest of the 20V Worx Power Share family. We’ve even introduced a dual-port charger to help you power up faster than ever before.
Family is forever – and now, so’s your battery platform. Step up to 2 x 20V for more Power Share.
The 2 x 20V tools are designed to work with a pair of batteries and will not operate with just one battery installed. For optimum performance, when pairing up your batteries, we recommend that both batteries are the same Amp hour rating and are fully charged.
NOTE: We recommend using the same two batteries to run your Hydroshot and charging both batteries at the same time on the dual charger for peak performance. More details can be found in the charger’s manual.
Using batteries with two different capacities, or even different charge levels, won’t improve the performance of your Hydroshot. The tool’s performance will only meet the lowest common denominator, so if one battery is only half charged, it will only work until that one battery is exhausted. No one needs to be short-changed like that! Using the same two batteries and charging them together will ensure the high performance you’ve come to expect from your Worx tools.
Before starting the Hydroshot, or after use, press the button beside the power indicator light on the machine to check the battery capacity. During operation, the battery indicator will constantly sense and automatically display on the battery power indicator and with two battery packs, the power indicator light will display the condition of the battery with the lowest power level.
Five green lights illuminated – The two batteries are highly charged
Two, three, or four green lights illuminated – The two batteries have a remaining charge. The more lights illuminated, the more battery capacity is available
Only one green light illuminated – The charge level of at least one battery is very low. Please check and charge the battery.
No lights illuminated – At least one battery is not fully installed or battery may be defective.
One light is flashing twice per cycle – At least one battery is over-discharged. Please recharge to two batteries at once before use or storage.
For more information about messages your battery light indicator can relay, please refer to the owner’s manual.
The WORX 40V Hydroshot is lightweight. Even with the battery and lance installed, it only weighs 6.9 lbs (3.12 kg ). It’s the ultimate portable power cleaner for at home or on the go, and easy to store.
The WORX Hydroshot has custom-designed accessories to perform a variety of applications from cleaning to watering plants. Aftermarket pressure washer accessories can also be used on the Hydroshot, but may not operate as originally designed since the water flow rate is much lower than a typical pressure washer.
The Hydroshot accessories are only designed for use on the Hydroshot and cannot be used on other pressure washing equipment.
The Hydroshot is designed for use with fresh water sources, and using chemicals, cleansers, salt water or any other non-fresh water sources in it will void the warranty. For tough cleaning needs, the soap dispenser accessory can be used to mix any after-market cleaning solutions or liquid soaps. When using fresh water from a pool, lake, river or pond, slide the float along the hose to keep the intake away from the bottom to avoid picking up dirt or mud. When finished, flush the tool with ordinary tap water to ensure its longevity and performance.
Yes, as long as the water is 104 degrees or less.
The WORX Hydroshot has two different speed settings – High and Low – to adapt to the task at hand and deliver more than 5 times the pressure of a garden hose and nozzle. The pressure settings are changed by pushing the button at the top of the handle. High speed allows for more pressure and is best for cleaning with the extension lance and power nozzle. Low speed helps conserve battery run time and is best for watering the with extension lance and the shower setting on the power nozzle.
The water pressure will depend on the speed setting and accessories used, but can reach up to 450 psi.
Since the pressure can vary depending on the Hydroshot settings, there are a few things to check:
- - Make sure the Hydroshot power nozzle is less than 5ft away from the water source surface.
- - Set the pressure setting switch to High.
- - Confirm that the hose between the water source and the Hydroshot is not being compressed or kinked, or being restricted in any way
- - If using the included hose, make sure the intake filter is floating just under the water’s surface and not touching the bottom, any dirt or debris that may prevent water from being drawn into the hose. If it is securely attached and the unit is not siphoning water from your water source, try attaching a household garden hose directly to the machine using the quick connect adapter. If your Hydroshot works with the direct household connection, flush the machine for at least 1 minute, reattach the supplied hose and try siphoning from your water source again. (This is also a helpful step when bringing the machine out of storage.)
- - Remove the orange hose adapter by unscrewing it from the machine (which may require an adjustable wrench). Verify that the rubber gasket filter is still in place and see if any debris is blocking the filter. The Hydroshot will not work properly if the filter is missing. Reinstall the hose adapter and hand tighten, or tighten with a wrench if necessary. Do not overtighten. Additional rubber gasket filter screens are sold at most hardware stores and by WORX.
If all filters are installed and cleared and all accessories are securely tightened, re-install the long lance and nozzle, change the pressure setting to High, and try again. Keep the Hydroshot no higher than 5’ from the water source to decrease the travel distance between the water and tool.
You don't need to purchase any additional accessories. Your Hydroshot is ready to use with the included accessories. The original Hydroshot models included two lances that contributed to the modes of operation. We improved the design of the lance to make using it more intuitive and less complicated to use the Hydroshot pressure modes. Now the WG644 Hydroshot only includes one re-designed lance suitable for all applications.
The extended lance included with the previous iterations of the Hydroshot can be purchased separately. Using it on the WG644 model of the Hydroshot will not change the operational pressure, or .

Absolutely! The improvements to this model allow you to install the accessories directly onto the Hydroshot and get to work.
To give you the best power cleaner performance, the Hydroshot is designed to work with the lance or attachment, and the attachments are designed to work with water sources.
Not necessarily. Different packages contain different items. To be sure you’ve received everything, be sure to look at your model number in the “accessories” chart in the manual.
To attach a garden hose to the Hydroshot, first attach the quick connect adapter to the hose adapter under the body and in front of the handle guard. Once it is securely attached, attach your garden hose. You can also attach the garden hose without the quick connection adapter. For more information, refer to your owner's manual.
Yes! With 20V Powershare, you can share the battery and save money. Your WORX Hydroshot can use any WORX 20V battery you already have, including our 4.0 Ah (WA3578) batteries. By sharing the battery between tools, you’ll always have the power you need to complete any job.
It takes approximately 1 hour to fully charge one of the included batteries on the dual port charger. Charging both batteries will take about 2 hours, and is recommended to ensure both batteries maintain optimum performance when used together on the Hydroshot.
Worx lithium batteries are surprisingly powerful for their compact size, and when teamed up in pairs, they have double the power of our 20V (1.5Ah) batteries. If we trust our 20V batteries to power our professional cordless drills through concrete and large timbers, imagine how easily two will handle edging your lawn, or trimming even the tough grass. It’s easier than ever to get that professionally manicured look you’ve always wanted.
The two batteries included with the Worx 20V Hydroshot are our 2.0 Ah batteries. Partnered up on our 2 x 20V tools, they deliver 40V performance, twice the amount of a single battery.
Our lithium tools and Ni-Cd tools are separate platforms and are not interchangeable. Lithium batteries offer our customers maintenance-free technology without the hassle of managing the memory effect inherent in Ni-Cad batteries.
While Powershare allows you to share batteries between tools within the same voltage family, batteries should only be used with tools of a corresponding voltage. Use your 20V MAX Lithium battery with any 20V WORX tool – even power tools – but save your 40V battery for your 40V tools.
For your security and safety, most WORX tools have a safety feature to prevent the tool from accidentally turning on. To operate the Hydroshot, press the black button on handle just above the grip opening (from the back, the button will be on the right side). While holding this button, squeeze the on/off trigger grip. The safety button can be released once the trigger is engaged. If the grip is released, the safety button will auto-engage to prevent accidental operation of the Hydroshot.
Especially when using a self-drawn water source (like from a bucket or lake), it may take up to 20 seconds to start pulling water through the hose and Hydroshot. If it is still not working, check the following:
- - Check the connection by gently pulling the hose. It should not easily pull off. If it does, reinstall by making sure the hose clicks into position.
- - Check the intake filter at the end of the hose to see if debris or dirt is clogging the intake. Clean and reinstall if necessary.
- - Confirm that the hose is not being compressed, kinked, or being restricted in any way.

If it works with the direct household connection, flush the machine for at least 1 minute, reattach the supplied 20ft. hose and try siphoning from your water source again. The Hydroshot is a tool designed for cleaning and watering purposes and should not be used as a toy. Please refer to the owner’s manual for more information.
Always wear the proper safety gear and maintain a clean, safe workspace. For more information, please check out the owner’s manual.
Before storing the Hydroshot, run clean, fresh water through the machine. Remove the battery to allow it to cool and keep it dry. Completely drain all water from the Hydroshot and hose and clean the housing using a soft brush and clean cloth. Do not use water, solvents or polishes. Rinse the hose filter by unscrewing the filter guard counterclockwise, remove and rinse the filter. Replace and screw the filter guard back on in a clockwise direction. Store in a secure, dry, frost-free environment out of reach of children.
