Accurate Cuts Made Easy
Use the built-in edge guide to position the blade exactly where you want it for perfect cuts on every pass.
String grass trimmers waste line and can be difficult to control when used for edging. By contrast, the WG898 is specifically built for edging. Its durable steel blade achieves a more defined edge and provides added stability with dual wheels.
Use the single lever to easily switch between three cutting depth settings: 1.5", 1.75", and 2". Use a deeper setting if the adjacent hardscape sits higher than the grass being edged.
Use the included wrench to remove the securing bolt and blade. Exchange the blade with a Worx 7" Replacement Blade (WA5880) and use the wrench to reattach the bolt.
Using the Worx 7" Replacement Blade (WA5880) is recommended as it is designed to boost efficiency and conserve runtime. However, you can use other replacement blades so long as they accommodate a 1" arbor size and are no larger than 8.5" in length.
The blade spins clockwise, so it works most effectively if you push the edger in a forward direction (as opposed to walking backward while operating). Moving forward also ensures a clear line of sight and prevents debris from moving toward the user.
The edge-guide is positional. It can be moved out of the way or placed in the downward position. In the downward position, it slides along the hardscape to ensure the blade is edging in the proper location.
The cut-line indicator is a linear rib molded into the top of the blade guard. It gives the user a visual cue of where the blade is aligned in relation to the actual cutting position.
