The MAKERX Rotary tool ships with a 1/8 in. collet, and can use any standard collet on the market.

The MAKERX Rotary tool accepts all standard rotary tool accessories, provided the proper collet is in place.

These recommendations will help maximize the performance of your tool, and achieve the  best results.

  • Do not subject the tool or accessory to heavy load.  Use light, constant pressure.  Pushing harder typically does not improve removal rate or performance.  Be patient and let the tool work as designed.
  • Allow the tool to reach target rotation speed before engaging the work piece.  Use the fastest rotation possible while still achieving desired results. Typically, tougher materials require faster rotation speeds.
  • Clamp the workpiece whenever possible.  A moving work piece is more likely to create a pinching or binding situation.

When using a cutting wheel, keep the wheel straight in the cut.  If the wheel is twisted, it will tend to grab and climb out of the cut.  The tool will shut off in an effort to prevent this situation, which is called kickback.

If the tool does stop suddenly, press the power button to turn it off.  Remove the accessory from the workpiece.  Turn the tool back on and allow the rotation to build to target speed.  This may take between 1.5 to 3 seconds.  Resume the work gradually.  If cutting, take care to follow the cut path already established.  Do not twist or bind the blade.

The 1/4" arbor adapter allows the grinder to use Dremel® EZ-Lock™ wheels.

When using a cutting wheel, keep the wheel straight in the cut. If the wheel is twisted, it will tend to grab and climb out of the cut. The tool will shut off in an effort to prevent this situation, which is called kickback.

Note: The MakerX Grinder is designed to help the user make straight cuts. The tool body and wheel are lined up. When held, the user’s forearm and hand are lined up with the blade and tool. Pull the Grinder and wheel through the cut, in line with the hand and forearm.

  • If the tool does stop suddenly, press the power button to turn it off. Remove the accessory from the work piece. Turn the tool back on and allow the rotation to build to target speed. This may take between 1.5 to 3 seconds. Resume the work gradually. If cutting, take care to follow the cut path already established. Do not twist or bind the blade.

Water-based paints are recommended for the MakerX. If some other paint is required, make sure the paint is thin enough to pass through the nozzle without out clogging. Experiment on a scrap piece to make sure the result is acceptable. Clean the nozzle and cup immediately and thoroughly after use. Follow the paint manufacturers recommendation for cleaning solutions. Be sure to flush any solutions out of the nozzle using water. Spray air through the nozzle to dry it completely after cleaning.

A fully charged 1.5Ah battery will power the Air Brush for about 3 hours of continuous use.

To maintain best operation, refrain from disassembling the spray gun. Before shipment, it is carefully assembled and calibrated for dependable operation. The spray gun need not be disassembled for cleaning.

Water-based paint is recommended. When painting is concluded, clean the spray gun right away. Allowing paint to dry inside the nozzle can render the spray gun inoperable.

  1. Dump excess paint from the cup and wipe it out. Rinse out the cup with water.
  2. Attach the spray gun to the compressor. Attach the Air Brush to the hub. Open the tail screw for high liquid flow. Drop a small amount of water in the cup. Leave the cap off of the cup.
  3. Make sure the speed knob is turned to low on the hub. While holding the compressor, turn on the Air Brush. Place a finger over the nozzle to prevent liquid from coming out. Gently push the trigger and pull it back. The water and paint will begin to bubble up in the cup.
  4. Let the air, water, and paint bubble up for a few seconds, then empty the cup. Add clean water in the cup and repeat the bubbling operation several times. Once the bubbles become thin and clear, the paint is mostly cleaned out.
  5. Remove your finger from the nozzle and spray water through it. Check that the water is clean and clear.
  6. Dump remaining water from the cup and wipe it dry. Spray air through the nozzle until dry air comes out. The spray gun should now be clean, dry, and ready to use later.
  7.  If your paint is not water-based, follow the manufacturer’s instructions regarding cleaning solutions. Follow the same bubbling procedure as described above. Make sure to flush out any remaining solution completely. Dry out the cup and nozzle.

A fully charged 1.5Ah battery will power the Heat Gun for about 10 minutes of continuous use.

Yes, other woodburning and soldering tips can be attached to this tool.

If the Wood & Metal Crafter has not been moved for about 5 minutes, the temperature will drop to 400˚F. If the tool remains motionless for another 10 minutes, the tool will shut off all together.

Yes, see the operator's manual for instructions about chaning between the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales.

On a fully charged 1.5Ah battery, the Wood & Metal Crafter will stay hot for about 45 minutes of continuous use.

The MAKERX ZipSnip will cut cardboard, chipboard, corrugated plastic, clamshell or plastic packaging, landscape cloth, plastic sheeting, pond and shower liners, and thick fabric. This rotary cutter will also trim metal and nylon screening, chicken wire, vinyl flooring, and carpet.

New cutting blades will be available on Worx.com and other retailers. The model number for the 2-pack of replacement blades for the MAKERX ZipSnip Rotary Cutter is WA7256.

No, the cutting speed is steady at approximately 300 rpm. The variable speed dial on the Hub is designed to work with the MAKERX Rotary Tool, Grinder, and Blower. It is ineffective on the Rotary Cutter.

Using a fully charged 2.0Ah 20V Power Share battery, the Rotary Cutter will run for over 2 hours under no-load conditions. The material being cut, feed rate, and other factors can affect the runtime slightly.

The MAKERX ZipSnip Rotary Cutter can handle materials up to ¼ in. thick.

The 20V MAKERX Hot Glue Gun uses mini glue sticks of size .28in., or 7mm. These mini sticks can be found at craft stores, hardware stores and home centers, mass merchants, and online.

First, make sure the battery is charged and all the connections are tight. Turn the variable speed dial on the Hub to min. Push the on switch on the Hub. Hold the on/off button on the Glue Gun for 3 seconds. The button should turn red to indicate the glue is heating. After about 30 seconds, the light should illuminate green, meaning the Glue Gun is hot enough to use.

The indicator light on the 20V Hot Glue Gun turns from red to green when ready to use. After 30 seconds, the temp will be approximately 285°F. After 60 seconds, approximately 345°F. After 90 seconds, approximately 400°F.

The opening for dispensing glue is .05” wide (1.2mm).

The Hot Glue Gun is programmed to turn off after ten minutes. This prevents the glue gun from being left on by accident and helps preserve energy.

No, the speed dial on the Hub is ineffective on the 20V Glue Gun. Leave it on the minimum setting. The speed dial controls the MAKERX Angle Grinder, Rotary Tool, and Mini Blower, which are available separately.

This glue gun is powered by connecting it to the MAKERX Hub ( WA7150, WA7151), and any 20V Power Share Battery.

Yes. Check out Worx.com for the accessory kit of nozzles for the 20V MAKERX Portable Mini Blower, model WA7216.

This blower can’t really move leaves off the lawn, no. But it will do a great job blowing pollen off of your wicker furniture, soil off of a potting table, or straw out of a birdhouse.

Use this MAKERX mini blower to clean sawdust and other debris from workspaces, clean small crevices like keyboards, dry materials like paint and glue, and more.

600D heavy-duty nylon.

The accessory case is made from polypropylene. It is a strong and durable but flexible plastic which wears and resists breakage well.

The case has configurable compartments and can hold a large number of accessories. The size of the accessories would affect the quantity count of course.

No, there is no way to lock the case, but there is a latch that will hold the lid closed until someone releases it.

There are moveable dividers inside the case that allow the compartment sizes to be changed.

Both models adapt 20V battery power for the MAKERX crafting tools. The HubX includes a USB charging outlet and belt clip.

The cord reaching from the HubX portable power source to the MAKERX crafting tools is 4 feet long.

No, the HubX is strictly designed to power the MAKERX series of crafting tools, along with a 20V Power Share™ battery.
